Community Golf Day at

ROSEMONT COUNTRY CLUB

Monday, May 24, 2010 (Registration deadline Tuesday, May 4, 2010)

 

Cost:              $42.50/person (includes golf, cart and lunch)
Tee Times:   7:30 am AND 1:30 pm “Shotgun Start”
Check In:      Begins one half hour prior to tee off
Lunch:           11:00 am – 2:00 pm
Limit:              18 foursomes at the 7:30 am tee time
                        18 foursomes at the 1:30 pm tee time
Requirements: At least one member of each foursome MUST be a Fairlawn resident, work in the City of Fairlawn or be a Fairlawn Chamber Member and this person MUST BE PRESENT for the foursome to play on the day of the event.
                       Registration is by foursome only.
Please review the following outing guidelines:

  • Lunch will consist of your choice of char grilled all beef hamburgers, all beef hot dogs and chicken breasts with buns and all the fixings, fresh assorted vegetables with dip, cole slaw, tomato and onion salad, relish tray, potato salad, fruit platter, pasta salad, cookies, coffee, tea, iced tea and lemonade.
  • Beverage cart will roam the course with pop, chips, pretzels, etc. on a CASH basis.  Ice water available at holes #6 and #14.
  • Proper dress code for both men and women:  shirts with collars and sleeves, traditional blouses or tops, slacks or shorts at mid-thigh or longer, and soft spiked golf shoes or smooth soled shoes only.  This dress code will be enforced and offenders will be required to change prior to golfing. (No jeans, tee shirts, tank tops, halter tops, swimming suits, gym shorts, cut off shorts, tennis dresses or tennis shoes.)
  • Putting Green will be open, Driving Range will be closed.

Now Accepting Application For 2010 Summer Park Staff
The Park program is a ten-week program from June 7 through August 13, with the staff working Monday through Friday from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, along with some weekend and evening events.

All staff work the entire ten-week program (vacations are not permitted).  All staff members must have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check.
Application deadline is March 31, 2010.

The mission of the City of Fairlawn Parks and Recreation Department is to provide opportunities to enhance the quality of life for the residential, business and neighboring communities through a variety of recreational, educational, cultural and health-related activities and events.  The goals of each activity and special events are to encourage individual, community, economic and environmental benefits in a safe, meaningful and healthy environment.

Park & Recreation Board

The Park and Recreation Board shall serve as an advisory body to the Mayor.  Its purpose is to offer suggestions, recommendations, participation and direction to the Division of Parks and Recreation and advise the Director of Parks and Recreation as to the goals, policies and direction of the Division, as developed by the Director or as otherwise set forth in the Charter of the City of Fairlawn.  The board meets the 4th Wednesday of every other month at 6:00 pm.
