Telephone Scam Alert
The City of Fairlawn Police Department has received information from residents that unknown person(s) are contacting both cell phones and land lines. These unknown person(s) are untraceable, but are trying to solicit funds on behalf of Fire and Police Departments. Please be aware, Police and Fire Departments will NEVER attempt to solicit funds over the phone. If you receive this type of telephone call, or any other type of telephone call attempting to solicit funds or personal identifying information, be very cautious.
