[ARCHIVED] Natural Gas Aggregation Program

The City of Fairlawn has entered into a natural gas aggregation program with Direct Energy at a fixed rate of $6.86 per thousand cubic feet(Mcf). This rate will go into effect the November 2010 billing cycle and continue through the October 2011 billing cycle. The rate excludes taxes and fees for services provided by the utility.

The unique program also includes an additional discount of $0.10 per Mcf off the initial commodity price for senior citizens age 65 and older who are the primary owners of their residence.

Residents and small businesses already enrolled in the program don't have to do anything to enroll in the next term of natural gas aggregation program. All eligible citizens not under contract will automatically be enrolled unless they call Direct Energy to be excluded. Customers who do not want to participate will need to "opt-out" of the program. Customers curently being served by another competitive supplier who wish to switch their services are also eligible. Please contact Direct Energy for enrollment or questions at 1-866-803-4618.
